Based in New York City, the Peter Westbrook Foundation (PWF) is a not-for-profit youth development organization that is dedicated to helping underserved youth academically and athletically through the sport of fencing.

Since 1991, PWF has attained national and international recognition for excellence as a training ground for student athletes of all calibers. In the recent past, our work has received praise and acknowledgement from: Oprah Winfrey, 60 Minutes, Time Magazine, New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, The New York Times and many others.

Developing the whole child to achieve regardless of personal circumstances is the guiding principle behind the work of every PWF volunteer and staff member. PWF accomplishes this goal by empowering each student to attain equal measure of success in fencing, academics, and the development of life skills.

The key to PWF's continued success is found in the 2,000-plus graduates of the program along with thousands of parents, family members, volunteers and friends which we proudly call the “PWF Family.”
